Current Lot An impressive George IV silver dessert bowl John Bridge for Rundell, Bridge and Rundell, London 1824-25 the large clam shell with a surmount of a twin tailed triton blowing a conch, the shell supported by three hippocamps in a wild sea setting and supported by three groups of clam shells, coral and turtles 38cm high, 42cm wide, 40cm deep, weight 343oz Provenance: Sotheby's New York, 14th April 1999, lot 213 Note: A similar set of four silver-gilt dessert bowls with covers were made for the Royal Collection by John Bridge 1826-27.
