On the front of this small body are three small knobs: two of them insert separately the two lines of reeds, the third insert them at the same time. A cover with a lock closes the keyboard. This instrument is probably French made. A maker mark is missing. It has the shape of a small kneeling-stool. and most probably it was a baby musical instrument a/o a portable keyboard for coral use. This instrument has been finely restored in all its parts and plays satisfactorily considering its size and user it was destined to. Listen at attached play. Size: 19" 1/2 by 8" 1/2 by 23" Si tratta di un piccolo armonium , costruito in tre parti: pedali per l'alimentazione dell'aria (restaurato con stecche di cartone e pelle bianca conciata all'allume), colonnina tornita e scavata che porta l'aria alla terza parte, quella costituente il corpo principale dello strumento. Quest'ultima contiene un piccolo mantice per la compensazione e la riserva dell'aria, con valvole di faggio, il somiere con due file di ance accordate all'unisono, la piccola tastiera di tre ottave rivestita in avorio. Sul frontale di questo piccolo corpo sonoro sono presenti tre piccoli pomelli, due dei quali inseriscono separatamente le due file di ance, e il terzo le due file contemporaneamente. Un coperchio munito di serratura chiude la tastiera. Di probabile fattura francese ma mancante della marca della ditta costruttrice, ha l'aspetto di un piccolo inginocchiatoio, e aveva presumibilmente la funzione di strumento musicale per bambini e/o di piccola tastiera trasportabile per uso corale. Lo strumento è stato restaurato in tutte le sue parti e suona adeguatamente considerata la dimensione e l'utilizzazione a cui era destinato. Sentire campione.
