Early 16thC This very rare jug, also called "puntneus" (translated as :  "pointy nose"), is somewhat earlier than the later bellarmine jugs. The face is very expressive, with a beard and with an incised decoration imitating leafs and impressed flower stamps around. The jug is made of stoneware and is covered with a saltglaze.
