AESTHETIC MOVEMENT, JAPANESE STYLE - MAGNIFICENT QUALITY CRISP DETAILS.OUTSTANDING, ABSOLUTELY TOP QUALITY HAND DONE OPEN WORK DECORATION WITH HAND CHASING AND ENGRAVING. Marked on the back with Dominick & Haff maker mark, "sterling" and retailer mark: "THE COWELL & HUBBARD CO. CLEVELAND" The tray is giant - about 28 3/4 in.(73 cm.) long with the handles and about 20 in. (50 7/10 cm.) wide. Excellent original antique condition with minimum amount of normal wear, some very light normal scratches, 2 very minor - hardly noticeable dents. Some very minor wear to gold at couple of spots. Couple of round spots on gold - probably from a classes left on the tray after drinking fruit juice or some other acid contented drink (glasses had to sit on the tray for a very long time - for a years!). All above mentioned imperfections are very minor - nothing more then indication of age - normal minor wear for about 100 years old large silver gilt tray.No repairs - all 100% original. No mono or mono removal.ONE MORE TIME - TRAY IS IN EXCELLENT ANTIQUE CONDITION. Weight of silver is about 177 troy oz. - about 5500 grams.
