There are two figures, a male and female harlequin, each made of a bronzed metal with ivory, or ivorine, face and hands, on quality alabaster bases. The Pierrot figure can sometimes be found on bookends but rarely with the Pierette.  Finding the couple with all hands, and the female's long extended arm, intact, with no damage, is amazing. These truly are museum quality Art Deco artifacts. The bookends are stamped Germany under the bases. Condition and Dimensions: Each bookend measures 5 1/2" high, The female's bookend is 3 1/2" wide (3/4" wider than the male) due to the extended arm. Other than expected wear, and a small chip (see 3rd photo above) these are in EXCELLENT condition NOTE: I will be listing some of the very best of my collection in the next few days.
