It also has military time indicated on the face of the clock. (ie: 13 to 00 on the inside of the corresponding 12 hour time). These clocks/timepieces were used on U.S. Navy ships and submarine.  SERIAL NUMBER 810665 is scratched on the back. Also on the back is printed "CHELSEA CLOCK CO. BOSTON"  The face has printed the manufacturers name CHELSEA CLOCK CO BOSTON. The clock dates back to the 1970's. The back case measures 7.5 inches accross, the face is 6 inches, accross, the body is 6.5 inches accross. The clock and is about 2 3/4 in deep. The clock is in excellent condition - it has no cracks and the glass is perfect. There are 3 mounting holes on the outside flange. The hinge is in perfect working condition as is the locking screw. This timepiece is believed to be made of Bakelite/phenolic case with a hinged bezel. The clock has a weather proof rubber seal on the inside of the lid - it is in perfect condition. also comes with orginal Chelsea key (printed on key) to wind it up. This is an extremely nice very sharp time piece and a great addition to a collector of military time piece or clocks. This clock has been in storage since 1978.
