This is a Hamilton 35s M#22, 21jewel, Wind Indicator Ship chronometer from 1943. It is in a solid walnut case with solid brass gimbals. The case, bezel and back are signed with the number 14659. The movement is signed with the number 2F27449. The dial is signed Hamilton Lancaster, Pa. USA. It has an up and down indicator with graduations for 56 to 0 hours. The walnut box has 2 lids and all of its original nomenclature; the plate on the inside of the middle lid gives instructions for winding and setting. There is a label at the bottom of the box stating the movement is intended to be operated in the dial up position. All original, and comes with the carrying case! In beautiful condition and keeping excellent time! The carrying case has a lot of scratches and is missing the strap!
