Description This is a vintage museum quality clock that came from a private collection here in Missouri.     Please check my 100% positive feedback before you bid.  These badges are from the HMS Alexandra from the Victorian Royal Navy.  It was launched in 1875,  and sailed until 1908.  The two badges that are mounted beside the clock read....... 1875 ALEXANDRA   THE YORKSHIRE REGT     PRINCESS WALESS OWN.      The dial that winds the clock reads UNGHAMS,  those letters make a half circle around the letter J,   all the letters are inside a star.   There are some very minor scratches,  but everything displays great.   The HMS Alexandra ship was launched April 7, 1875,   this ship had been intended to be called the HMS Superb,  but the name was changed at her launching,  which was undertaken by Her Royal Highness the Princess of Wales,  who was later Queen Alexandra.  She was the first British ironclad to be launched by a member of the Royal Family.    This ship was sold in 1908 and broken up.  This piece is from a very nice collection of old military clocks.
